ACEs and Training

Childhood Trauma, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and Toxic Stress are all too common for many individuals. The ACEs study found that 66% percent of children have experienced at least one adverse childhood experience (in a middle class and college educated environment). Free Trauma Assessment

What does a free trauma assessment entail? 

Both N.O.T.T. founders will visit or call your school or district and review a set of documents with your information about what you are currently implementing, giving you insight into how trauma informed your school or district is. There is absolutely zero obligation or judgment.

Professional Trainers

The National Organization for Treating Trauma was founded by two public school principals who have received extensive training in trauma informed practices and are Certified Trauma Practitioners. With the perspective as former teachers and as current administrators, N.O.T.T. (see the About Us link below) is able to connect with all faculty members and customize training for any type of audience. 

 

Trauma Informed Care Academy - October 11th and 12th

This academy provides school faculty with step by step guidelines to begin implementation of trauma informed practices in the school setting. This training is valuable for any staff member who works with children and serves as an agent of change. Our training is hands on and research based. 


This two (2) day training will guide you through the process of becoming trauma informed and how develop a comprehensive Trauma Informed Action Plan for your school.


We recommend 2 or more representatives from your school in order to maximize collaboration and long term success with your school's action plan.
